TOSHIBA SATELLITE L850 ECO DRIVER

These work, but still no bluetooth. I send this Toshiba Satellite L850 Eco thing to Toshiba support. They tell me to turn it off and on again. I explain that I've tried that, I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers to try and get this working, and still nothing works. At their behest it gets returned under warranty to Toshiba Service Centre.

They replace the Toshiba Satellite L850 Eco drive citing corrupted HDD, nothing more. It doesn't get abused, it goes to work and returns home with me. There are no games installed, and it sits permanently on a cooling mat for any times I do anything too computationally intensive. The thing is a lemon. Maybe this isn't a fair review and I have the one bad computer in the batch but, jesus, it's frustrating. Cheap, relatively portable, good chipset.

I have only problem with video drivers after hibernate. Bundybear Great value system with plenty of power The Toshiba Satellite L is a great system for the price. Plenty of power, full size keyboard and large touchpad for the mouse. Come complete with all the main things you need out of a laptop wifi, generous size hard drive, i5 processor with plenty of power, 4GB of ram, bluetooth Easy to upgrade to 8GB of RAM additional 4GB RAM module available on the Toshiba website for you to purchase, instructions in the manual on how to install without voiding your warrenty Speaker are fair quality. This laptop has 3 USB ports 2x 3. The included battery is a 6-cell, however you can purchase the bigger 9-cell from the Toshiba website. Great price, plenty of features, solid keyboard Not so much wrong but would have been nice to have a backlit keyboard 1 comment I bought one which is only 4 weeks old and for some unknown reason I totally lost the dvd optical drive.

Went to Toshiba support who couldn't fix the problem stating that I had to save all my programs and saved documents and then totally do a recovery. After much searching I was finally able to get the dvd drive back up and running without doing the full recovery. I was very glad I managed Toshiba Satellite L850 Eco get it back and up and running. Still not happy that this happened so early in the piece and that Toshiba support couldn't fix it yet I could after about 30 minutes.

I bought this as a substitute for my 3 year old Sony Vaio, and I feel like I've downgraded. I use my laptop for both work and personal use, and after a month, it has become abundantly clear that this is an inferior product due to the following reasons: The function keys are the opposite to every other keyboard out there. That is, instead of you needing to press the 'FN' key plus the various function key Toshiba Satellite L850 Eco perform a shortcut, it is permanently set on the shortcut and you need to press the "FN" key to get the standard function. I use Excel quite a fair bit, and rely on using the F2 button to enter a cell regularly, and this flip of the basic keyboard function has proven to be the biggest annoying downfall of this laptop. Toshiba Satellite L850 Eco F2 button is one of the most used by people, whether we know it or not, and the longer I have this laptop, the more annoyed i am.

It's pretty bad display resolution, horrible keyboard configuration, slow processing unit 1 comment In the Bios you can change the Function key settings, so F1-F12 work as normal. Mine died about a month ago and I replaced it with a solid state, after exactly this happened. How to do that??
